PERFORMANCE AND DISEASE

Strong evidence has been provided to support the use of tadalafil in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). This article will compare EMC data for Erectile Dysfunction (ED) to Tadalafil data for PAH, and will discuss the EMC data for Erectile Dysfunction (ED) to benefit from the drug.

the EMEs [ognitive/emotional autopsy] used to determine the prevalence of ED in men and women. There are no data for men who have never had an ED diagnosis. This is because the definition of ED varies from person to person, with estimates varying widely. People with ED aged 18–49 years have high levels of erectile dysfunction. This is most common in men over the age of 50 years. In people without ED, ED is usually mild or moderate. The prevalence of ED is greatest in men over the age of 40 years and lowest in those with a family history of ED. The prevalence of ED in women is approximately 5% lower than in men. In addition, the prevalence of ED in people with a family history of ED is about 1% lower than in people without family history of ED. In addition, the prevalence of ED in men with a family history of ED is about 2-3 times higher than in people without family history of ED. Therefore, the prevalence of ED in people with family history of ED is also higher than that in people without family history of ED.

The healthcare professional should determine the diagnosis and appropriate treatment of ED in people with family history of ED to benefit them from appropriate interventions.

PAH is a common health condition in which a person has an abnormal flow of blood into the penis, causing a loss of sexual ability and satisfaction. The majority of people with PAH do not have the pulmonary hypertension associated with ED. ED is usually mild to moderate in nature, and usually occurs as a result of physical or emotional stress. Physical or emotional factors can lead to ED in patients with PAH. Physical or emotional stress can increase the risk of vascular disease, coronary artery disease, and other cardiovascular problems. Stress can also increase the risk of certain types of cancer, such as breast and skin cancers, which affect the blood vessels in the lungs and other organs in the lungs.

ED that occurs after the penetration of a sexual organ is called erectile dysfunction. ED in patients with PAH is more common in men over the age of 40 years. The prevalence of ED in men over the age of 40 is 5-16% lower than in men without a PAH diagnosis. The increase in the risk of vascular disease and other cardiovascular problems due to psychological stress is significant and may contribute to the development of ED in patients with PAH. Cases of ED occurring after the penetration of sexual organs in patients with PAH have been reported.

The treatment of PAH includes symptomatic treatment and pharmacotherapy. The second-line treatment is PDE5i, which is an oral nitrates, usually taken before sexual intercourse. It works by relaxing the muscles in the blood vessels and allowing blood to flow more easily to the penis.
